Stegosaurus stenops by Teratophoneus Stegosaurus stenops by Teratophoneus
It was about time to draw one f these guys. Stegosaurus is the biggest stegosaurid and one of the most popular dinosaurs. This planteater is well known for its back plates ad for its relatively small brain. Stegosaurus is also the favourite dinosaur of my little sister.
Here we have stegosaurus stenops , a midsized stegosaurus species, the biggest, s. armatus was up to 9 metres long

Stegosaurus; the epitome of its kind. after it died out, the stegosaurs went into decline.

that was what i meant. fewer and fewer stegosaurs appeared after, and by the mid-cretaceous, the last ones went extinct.

yes, s. armatus is bigger. It was 9 metres long while this one is just 7 metres long. But s. stenops is much btter known because there are more skeletons of this species.

Thanks for the info dude. And ungultus, how looks like? I have a pic of this specie on a Bakkers book showing it as very slender and spikier than stenops or armatus

s. ungulatus is probably just a junior synonym for s.armatus. It represent just a juvenile specimen of that species. It was once thought to have had 8 tail spike but this seems to be outdated(but dont ask me why I dont know how they put 8 instead of 4 thagomizers on it) :)

A brain so small in fact that people used to think it had a second brain within the pelvis. This turned out not to be a second brain but a glycogen body that modern birds also have.

Well, the largest Dacentrurus exceeds Stegosaurus by a meter or so.
