JP-Expanded Irritator by Teratophoneus JP-Expanded Irritator by Teratophoneus
JP Expanded
Species: Irritator challengeri
meaning: challengers Irritator
Codename:"Croc-jaw"
Length: up to 8 metres
weight. 2,5 tons
period: cretaceous
Aggressiveness: 70%-dangerous!

Irritator is a spinosaurid that looked similar to spinosaurus but with only half the size of it. As it was cloned, it was mistaken for one. But it soon turned out to be another, less agressive genus . Irritator still is a dangerous animal, it killed 3 people in an incident, as 3 keepers wanted to control a probable nest, as the mother appeared and killed the intruders, a fourth keeper got his arm ripped off. For this reason, Irritator got the name "croc jaw". Soon the keepers learned that it isnt good to come too close to them when they have youngs. In this time the females are highly agressive, and the males, who are bigger protect their territory and the female with such a verocity, that is was ordered, not to put two males in one area if they sould be put in a park. They werent present in the original park and only 4 pairs were spotted on site b. To prevent them to go extinct a second time, they were caught by a team of greenpeace activists that were paid by John Hammond. They were then moved to side D the fourth island. There, the population has grown but they arent very common, because the territories of Irritators are huge. They live in and around rivers and it was also reported that they sometimes swim into the ocean to hunt for fish. But it also seems, that they preyup on marine mamals like seals that sometimes are around the islands. One time, an Irritator swam so far that he landed on the galapagos islands. The scientists that studied the environment there were surprised, as they spottet a dinosaur on the hill! However the Irritator could be recaptured and he was put back on siteD. Irritator has a crest on its head that is present in both sexes. The males crest is much more brightly coloured, it is red, while the females one is pale orange. Irritator males sails, shine also brightly in different colours during mating season. Females lay normally 20 eggs. They mate during autumn. Irritators seem to like hunting in water-his main food source is fish. They can submerge up to an hour and their long teeth are ideal for grabbing fish. In mating season the males produce infrasonic sounds in the water similar to alligators. The water around its head "dances" when they produce the infrasonic sounds. Irritators normally avoid fights with other big predators. Although it was reported that a mating between a male spinosaurus and a female Irritator, no results turned out. Only one embryo hatched, it had the crest of an Irritator and the big sail and jaws of the spinosaurus. Only two weeks later the baby wasnt spotted any more, suggesting that it died or maybe left the mother soon after hatching. Irritators roar is higher than that of spinosaurus. Irritators are present in the list for the 2013 park with 4 individuals.

I think it was becaused the hobby palaeontologists who restored the skull restored it with a material that isnt used commonly and that irritated the experts. I have read that in a book but couldnt find more infos about it

No I found out in an encyclopedia of dinosaurs that it was called that because when it was presented to a scientist.  The one who put the skeleton together did it wrong.  So the scientist has to reassemble it the right way.
